Getting to know your international contact

My international contact is from South Africa and it is known as the Centre of Early childhood Development. I have weekly contact with my contact whom asked me to refer to the organization versus using one's name. The Centre in South Africa does the following according to my person of contact:
aim to do this by improving the early childhood development (ECD) services in South Africa through training, support and advice in the field of early childhood development. We offer courses and programmes aimed at enhancing individual and organisational capacity; develop and disseminate resources; and carry out research specifically related to the African context. Based in Cape Town, South Africa we offer services and programmes country wide, increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of early childhood development provision to all South Africa's children. The Centre works with early childhood development practitioners in community-based projects whose focus is programmes for children aged 0-6 years old and who operate in areas of the greatest neglect and poverty. Our geographic area of operation covers projects in urban, semi-urban and rural areas across South Africa. The majority of our trainees are South African women.

There is still much to learn and I am definitely enjoying the process of learning how others do things in a different part of the world.
