Sharing Web Resources

For the past few weeks I have been taking a closer look at the Children's Defense Fund website and it is always an encouraging experience as well as an informative one. In the past I shared with you the opportunity to go on that site and view State of  America's Children Handbook which is filled with data that will make you scratch your head regarding poverty, reading & math scores and many other noteworthy pieces of information. The children's Defense Fund also has the following information on its website and because of the content I felt as if you would find it interesting.

Priorities for elected officials to ensure the future of every child

We are committed to reclaiming our country, our core values and spiritual foundation for our children and families. Too many children live in poverty and suffer from preventable illness, neglect, abuse, inadequate education and violence. These problems are solvable if we each do our part. Right now, our nation has the ability to:
Because we have been really looking at the topic of economist and others figures I felt as if this would really shine a light on what our focus should really be on as well as the elected officials that we out in various offices. It is believed that we should all have the same goal in mind regardless of our political party!

  1. Great post Stephanie. In my opinion it wa straight to the point. I must agree with your statement, "...we should have all have the same goal in mind regardless of our political party." That is so true, but there are individuals that do not know how to but their differences aside for the sake of helping others. As a group effort there may be a time or two that a person will have to go with the best way and not necessarily their way. That quote stood out to me the most because its not about "us" its about the children. I love the dancing baby on the side. Too cute!

  2. I love reading about what this organization is doing and has done. Your statement about having the same goal in mind regardless of political party was inspiring. I wish individuals could see past their differences and work together towards a greater goal when it comes to children. It seems like early education has made great strides in the last few years, so I look forward to see what is coming next! Love the dancing baby!
